Fantasy Premier League gameweek 2 approaches and we are hoping for similar success to that which we enjoyed without gameweek 1 Armbandits captain tips.
Our Team Projections predict that Liverpool's attackers are most likely to enjoy a high-scoring week as they host a Crystal Palace side who were dreadful in gameweek 1. As a result we have selected 2 of their goal-scorers from last weekend amongst our captain tips. Our top tip is Mohamed Salah who continued his bright pre-season form in gameweek 1 with a hand in 2 of Liverpool's 3 goals - scoring one and assisting another. We are expecting more good things from his home league debut.
Sadio Mane also enjoyed a strong opening FPL gameweek as he too found the net in last Saturday's early kick-off against Watford. He was involved in 20 of Liverpool's goals last season (13 goals, 7 assists) despite only playing 27 league games. With the expected departure of Philippe Coutinho on the horizon he could play and even bigger part this season.
He's currently the most popular player in the game (with ownership of 52.4% at time of writing) and was the 3rd top points scorer in gameweek 1 so there was no way we could ignore Romelu Lukaku. Man United may be player away from Old Trafford this weekend, but in Swansea they face the worst Premier League defence from last season (ignoring the relegated teams).
Josh King did not manage to score in gameweek 1, but a home match against Watford in gameweek 2 is a great opportunity for him to re-find his goal-scoring touch from last season. We predict he will break his 2017-18 duck this weekend.
We successfully backed him last week and so once again we are tipping Arsenal's Alexandre Lacazette. It is unlikely the Gunners will match their 4-goal exploits of gameweek 1 when the visit Stoke, but we are expecting a couple of goals from the visitors and Lacazette is most likely to be involved.
