Hello all! FPL Physio here for another 'Crystal Ball'! After a busy week of Champions League action our attentions turn back to the Premier League. Here goes with my GW7 predictions, enjoy!
Huddersfield : Spurs
This Spurs's second lunchtime game in a week, a 3-2 win at West Ham coming last time out. Harry Kane followed up his brace in that match with a Champions League hat-trick, he really is in the form in his life. Dele Alli and Eriksen have been playing fine supporting acts and you really can only see one result this week! Huddersfield have enjoyed life in the Prem so far, only losing 1 of their first 6 games. However this is their first game against one of the so called big teams, they won't enjoy it.
Huddersfield 0-4 Spurs
Bournemouth : Leicester
There is a big doubt over Leicester's main man Jamie Vardy going in to this game, it was confirmed yesterday he is managing a hip problem. He would be a big loss and a huge boost to Bournemouth, who are in trouble after their late 2-1 loss to Everton. They need wins and they need them fast, Leicester were unlucky against Liverpool and even without Vardy I'm expecting them to win.
Bournemouth 1-3 Leicester
Man United : Crystal Palace
On paper this looks like one of the easiest games of the season for Man United, Palace have lost all 6 games and haven't scored a goal. Benteke, Zaha and Loftus - Cheek are all out injured, Palace's goal threat will be minimal. United have lost Phil Jones and part of me thinks a Palace is inevitable, seven games without scoring?!
Man United 3-0 Crystal Palace
Stoke : Southampton
This is a really tough game to call. Southampton don’t score many goals but are to be fair very solid at the back. Stoke were taken apart up Chelsea last week albeit with a weakens back 5, Zouma coming back this week will give them a boost. Southampton were unlucky last week against United but they didn’t create enough, you won’t win games without scoring goals.
Stoke 2-1 Southampton
West Brom : Watford
West Brom were unlucky last week against Arsenal on another Jay Rodriguez could have had a hat - trick! Although they lost I’m sure Pulis will have taken a few positives. Watford responded really well to their thumping against Man City with a win at Swansea and I have been really impressed with Marco Silva’s work. This will be a tight game that I think will be decided by a set piece.
West Brom 1-0 Watford
West Ham : Swansea
West Ham weren’t awful in their defeat to Spurs and had 2 out of 2 prior to that. Swansea have been awful at home but really solid away, however I don’t think they sit back as much as they did on their Wembley trip. This game is really hard to call although you can’t ignore Carroll’s record against Swansea!
West Ham 2-0 Swansea
Chelsea : Man City
Chelsea were outstanding against Atletico in midweek and thoroughly deserved the win. Man City have been so impressive so far this season, averaging 3.7 goals and the PL this season! However it hasn’t been a great week, Mendy and Aguero both suffering long term injuries. I think Conte has another masterclass up his sleeve.Chelsea 2-0 Man City
Arsenal : Brighton
Arsenal were lucky but clinical against West Brom on Monday. Lacazette has loves scoring at the Emirates, 4 in 3 already. Brighton struggle to score and haven’t looked great so far. I fancy Arsenal to run away with it. Brighton have no fit strikers which makes their task even harder!
Arsenal 4-0 Brighton
Everton : Burnley
Everton were tipped by many to challenge the ‘big 6’ this year, however they been awful. They were poor on Thursday in the UEL and it summed up their season. Burnley have played well and been solid at the back, they will be fine this year if unspectacular! However they do much better at Turf Moor so I’m backing Everton.
Everton 1-0 Burnley
Newcastle : Liverpool
On paper this should be a Liverpool win however we have seen them struggle against lesser teams in the teams and you wouldn’t back then for clean sheet. However their attack is frightening; pace, skill and creativity. Newcastle will really struggle to contain them, however they will back themselves to score!
Newcastle 1-4 Liverpool
