Gameweek-13 arrives with some interesting fixtures lined up for the FPL managers with the most notable game Liverpool vs Chelsea.
As usual in this article I will be listing the players to watch-out for this gameweek based on their price, points scoring possibility, few captaincy choices to consider and lastly the best gameweek-13 Lineup. So, let’s begin!
First up the Goalkeepers:
- David De Gea (£5.8)
- Ederson Moraes (£5.5)
- Hugo Lloris (£5.5)
- Asmir Begovic (£4.5)
Despite conceding a goal at home David De Gea is the best choice from Manchester United’s defense who is prone to less rotation compared to the rest of the defense. He faces Brighton at home who have lately been in good form but Manchester United’s defense should manage to bag a cleansheet. Ederson faces Huddersfield away form home and has is likely to keep a cleansheet as the Terriers have just managed to score 8 goals this season. Hugo Lloris faces a poor West Brom side who are failing to score goals and Asmir Begovic face Swansea away from home but the Swans have just scored 6 goals the lowest this season.
- Cesar Azpillicueta (£6.8)
- Antonio Valencia (£6.7)
- Jan Vertonghen (£6.1)
- Ben Mee (£4.6)
Again, regarding Manchester United’s defense it’s rather unpredictable that whom Jose Mourinho would start so I think the most nailed option would be Antonio Valencia but looking at the other defenders Phil Jones is out this week, Marcos Rojo and Eric Bailly are back and Chris Smalling too is playing. Cesar Azpillicueta is the best Chelsea defender for long run and is managing to provide decent attacking returns and have favourable fixtures lined up after the game against Liverpool. Jan Vertonghen faces a weak attacking West Brom side so a cleansheet is a possibility. Ben Mee faces Arsenal at home but Burnley’s defense has been good at home and have just conceded two goals at home and will definitely cause Arsenal attackers a problem.
- Mohamed Salah (£9.6)
- Kevin De Bruyne (£10.1)
- Eden Hazard (£10.6)
- Christian Eriksen (£9.5)
- Alexis Sanchez (£11.7)
- Richarlison de Andrade (£6.5)
Premier League’s top goal scorer Mohamed Salah is hard to ignore and has scored 9 goals in his 12 appearances and looks like a season keeper. He faces Chelsea at home a tough fixture but has good fixtures gameweek-18. Kevin De Bruyne is providing consistent returns and faces a weak Huddersfield defense. Other options include Leroy Sane, David Silva and Raheem Sterling. Well last week Eden Hazard showed all of us what he is capable of and returned massive points for his owners and is an ideal choice from Chelsea and has good fixtures until gameweek-21. Christian Eriksen has been a big disappointment and has failed to provide returns consecutively in the last 4 gameweeks. The only reason I’m banking is that Spurs face a weak West Brom defense if he fails to capitalise this situation he is off. Alexis Sanchez has bounced after a stick spell but is yet to provide a big return other options from Arsenal include Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey. Other budget friendly include Watford’s Richarlison, Brighton’s Pascal Gross, Stoke City’s Xherdan Shaqiri and Choupo-Moting and Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas.
- Alvaro Morata (£10.3)
- Romelu Lukaku (£11.5)
- Harry Kane (£12.8)
- Sergio Aguero (£11.7) / Gabriel Jesus (£10.5)
- Jamie Vardy (£8.5)
Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata is in top form and has been part of 12 goals for Chelsea and is a good choice until gameweek-21. Romelu Lukaku bounced back against Newcastle United, with Pogba back I expect him to back on the scoring sheets. Harry Kane well blanked again well I can’t say anything more regarding and he needs to step-up this week. Well regarding Manchester City’s forwards it’s rather difficult to predict who will start but in the midweek UCL fixture Aguero started and may benched this gameweek so Gabriel Jesus may start. Jamie Vardy has a good record against West Ham United and may well be a differential choice to consider.
Obvious Pick: Romelu Lukaku
Second Choice: Harry Kane
Differential Pick: Jamie Vardy
Risk Pick: Mohamed Salah
Well this week I’m going with Romelu Lukaku but the week when we talk less about Harry Kane he tends to perform and provide good returns that’s what my gut feelings say.
Team for Gameweek 13 *:
Defenders: Valencia, Azpillicueta, Vertonghen
Midfielders: Salah, Hazard, De Bruyne, Eriksen, Richarlison
Forwards: Kane (V), Lukaku (C)
