After some dramatic results, gameweek 27 arrives with yet another 10 interesting fixtures lined up for the FPL managers with the standout fixture of the gameweek the North London Derby.
As usual in this article I will be listing the players to watch out for this gameweek based on their price, points scoring possibility, few captaincy choices to consider and lastly the best gameweek-27 Lineup. So, let’s begin!
- David De Gea (£5.9)
- Lukasz Fabianski (£4.6)
- Ederson Moraes (£5.6)
- Nick Pope (£4.9)
- Marcos Alonso (£7.3)
- Nicolas Otamendi (£6.5)
- Phil Jones (£5.7)
- Seamus Coleman (£6.4)
Manchester United play Newcastle away from home this gameweek. The Magpies have just scored 5 in their last 5 with only 1 goal per game in the same period, they face a Manchester United side who have just let in 2 in their last 5. I expect the Red Devils to keep a cleansheet and Phil Jones starting this weekend. Swansea City play Burnley at home and I’ve mentioned 2 goalkeepers from the same fixture. The Swans have improved in the recent few weeks but if Burnley can stop Manchester City from scoring then they can definitely do the same here. The Swans have scored 6 and have let in 5 while the Clarets shave just scored 3 and have conceded 6 in their last 5 games and I think that this game could well end as a goalless draw. Manchester City play Leicester City at home this gameweek. The Foxes have scored 7 in their last 5 but are failing to make an impact without Riyad Mahrez. The only forward that could cause the Cityzens some problems would be Jamie Vardy, if they manage to defend well then, they have a chance of keeping a cleansheet. Chelsea play West Brom and Alonso missing the game against Watford had a lot of managers disappointed. With 2 consecutive defeats the Blues will definitely be aiming for a win and with Alonso fit to face this gameweek, all the managers will have high hopes for him and I do feel he’ll at the most keep a cleansheet. Everton play Crystal Palace at home this gameweek. The Eagles have scored 6 in their last 5 and will be without their midfielder Wilfried Zaha so I fancy the Everton defence to keep a cleansheet and Seamus Coleman could well be a punt but his price will put off most of the managers.
- Mohamed Salah (£10.4)
- Kevin De Bruyne (£10.3)
- Eden Hazard (£10.7)
- Alexis Sanchez (£11.8)
- Theo Walcott (£7.3)
- Xherdan Shaqiri (£6.1)
- Sergio Aguero (£11.9)
- Harry Kane (£12.9)
- Romelu Lukaku (£11.3)
- Pierre Emerick Aubameyang (£10.5)
- Callum Wilson (£6.0)
Mo Salah is really one of the must-own players this season. His consistency of providing points really amazes me. This week the Reds play Southampton who have let in 8 in their last 5 games and well if the Liverpool attack do continue their form then we will have some points this gameweek too. Manchester City will be looking to get back to winning ways and the draw last gameweek was very much disappointing. Sergio Aguero well blanked! That’s very rare and none of the prominent Manchester City attackers fired but well this week they play Leicester City at home. The Foxes have just conceded 2 in their last 5 but Sergio Aguero has scored in each of his last 6 matches at the Etihad Stadium in all competitions, producing 10 goals in that period. I expect Guardiola’s men to bounce back with a few goals with the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling all involved. Chelsea play West Brom and in short, it’s a must-win game for the Blues. Eden Hazard has managed to provide 5+ returns in 3 of his last 5 gameweeks. This gameweek he plays a West Brom side who have conceded 9 goals in their last 5 and I expect the Belgian to be on the scoresheet gameweek. Spurs play Arsenal this gameweek, Harry Kane has scored 6 goals in 6 Premier League matches against Arsenal and well could score this time too. Arsenal did look good against Everton with Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan getting themselves involved in a 5 goal-fest. I expect the North London Derby to be an open goal-scoring affair and it will be interesting to see whether Arsenal’s new recruits can deliver consistent points. Manchester United play Newcastle who have conceded 6 in their last 5 and the Red Devils are looking in good form with Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez both scoring last gameweek will be looking to continue performing to help their side maintain position in the top 4 race. The other options include Xherdan Shaqiri who plays Brighton, Theo Walcott who faces Crystal Palace and Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson who plays Huddersfield.
