The pre-season tours are about to begin for many of the teams and Fanatsy Premier League is now officially open for the 2017/18 season. This article will focus on Jose Mourinho's Manchester United and what to expect from them. The Red Devils have begun the summer signing spree with Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku but more are yet to arrive according to some rumours plus the exit of Wayne Rooney is a point to be noted as he heads back to his boyhood club Everton. Looking at Manchester United's fixtures they have comparatively good fixtures until they face Liverpool in gameweek 8.
After his big money move from Everton, undoubtedly Romelu Lukaku priced at 11.5m is the key player for Manchester United and in terms of FPL value he is gold. Looking at the the first six fixtures i would certainly have him in my team after his brilliant previous season for Everton where he scored a total of 25 goals and provided 6 assists, racking up a total of 221 points. So if you would like to take benefits from Manchester United's fixtures and Lukaku's abilities then go add him to your squad.
Priced at 7.0m the differential pick from Manchester United is Juan Mata. After an average last season where he managed to score 6 goals and 7 assists in 25 appearences and a scored a total of 102 points. Looking at the current Manchester United's squad and Jose Mourinho's plans it's very difficult to predict wether Mata will be a regular member of first eleven or will play a substitite cameo. In my opinion the pre-season games should help us giving an insight on Mourinho's plans but in a nutshell Mata is an excellent skillful player who is just available for 7.0m is a baragin.
A key player in the Manchester United squad and could be Manchester United's next captain is none other than Ander Herrera. Priced at 5.5m is undobtedly a bargain!! Looking at his last season's performances in 31 appearences he scored once and provided 6 assists and scored a total of 91 points. He is a defensive midfielder who has excellent attacking instincts which can be clearly seen from the volleys he takes. So in short if you need a midfielder probably a fifth who can free up some cash then choose Herrera but if you need an attacking winger to be precise it is Jese Lingard who is priced at 6.0m but he may well beched and rotated.
After Keeping 12 cleansheets assisting 3 goals and scoring a goal and scoring 120 points priced at 6.5m Antonio Valencia is definetly a player to have from Manchester United's defence considering his ability to defend as well as attack, so if you cannot afford to have a Manchester United midfielder then you can always got to Valencia who perfroms the wing back role and may give attacking benefits. Lastly if you cannot afford to have valencia in your squad then you could go to Victor Lindelof whose priced a million less and is also equally good.
After a decent first season for Paul Pogba there are high expectations from him and hopes that he may well benefit his future FPL owners and priced at just 8.0m is a total bargain!! The reason he fell silent in the previous season was that he had to perform a dual role of playing as a defensive midfileder as well as an attacking midfielder that's why he only managed to score 5 goals and provide 4 assists. But looking at his abilities I would certainly say that indeed he is player to watch this season. Since Lukaku has joined the club the partnership between them is also one to watch, but if you don't want to invest on Pogba you could to go to Henrikh Mkhitaryan but there is always a rotation risk considering him.
So in coclusion Manchester United have a set of good fixtures and players like Lukaku, Pogba, Herrera, Lindelof, Bailly, De Gea and Valancia are surely first team starters and have a major part to play and it is impossible to ignore them and so we must try to own atleast 3 of them to take benefits from Manchester United's fixtures. Lastly the squad rotations are kind of difficult to predict and so we need to closely keep an eye on the pre-season performances of the players and the team.
